The glove box should be supplied with inert gas with a 2 bars pressure. Normally, the inert gas chosen is nitrogen or argon and in some cases helium.
Regeneration requires a bottle composed either of hydrogen and inert gas or inert gas alone according to the glove box’ purification type.

The connection of the glove box exhaust gases to a network is optional. The glove box functioning is independent from the exhaust network.
However, the connection to an exhaust network is strongly recommended if hazardous products are handled in the glove box.
If the exhaust gases option is ordered ; we take care of connecting the glove box exhaust pipes to a collector (see picture attached). The collector will then be connected to your general network through a 63mm pipe (for instance).
No! The beauty of Jacomex's glove boxes is that the vacuum pump is not essential to the pressure regulation of the purified glove boxes as it is only used for the transfer chamber(s)’s vacuuming.
If a power failure occurs on the glove box; all the electro valves automatically shut so that the glove box tightness is maintained. The glove box remains in its current state of overpressure or under pressure.
When power is restored, the glove box runs again without alteration. No specific action is required from the operator and data are preserved.
Jacomex's oxygen sensor encloses an electronical galvanic cell which offers excellent properties in terms of performance, reliability, stability, with a long lifetime. The cell is not affected by background gases and compatible with acids. Being autonomous, it only requires minimal maintenance. There is no electrolyte hence no requirement to replace it; nor electrodes, hence no requirement to clean them.
The cell calibration (air or standard gas calibration) is easily performed through the intuitive user interface with calibration validation and direct diagnosis.
The Jacomex glove boxes equipped with a touch screen include an active fault visualisation; for instance, if a circuit breaker is triggered or a sensor out of order. Therefore, is it easy to spot a failure and carry out the repair.
The complete fault history can be recovered through the touch screen USB port.
